Her Head was a Spider’s Nest – Book Launch/ Meet-and-Greet Event

By July 21, 2022One Comment

I’m grateful for everyone who showed up at the book launch for #Herheadwasaspidersnest, and also the meet-and-greet events in Lagos and Abuja. It was fulfilling seeing so many delightful faces who were as happy to see me as I was to see them too.

I appreciate you all and do not take it for granted, that you came around and bought my silly books— not just for yourselves but for your friends and family too. Whoever said Nigerians don’t buy books, you are a disgraceful liar — hell is your portion if you don’t repent. The gifts too — I couldn’t believe it that you amazing people bought books and brought gifts for me. Thank you so much.

I’m grateful for everyone who has been telling other people of my poetry too. I couldn’t count the number of times someone had come to me saying a friend, brother, sister or colleague, introduced them to my work, or they have a friend who is always posting my poetry on their WhatsApp status.

I even met someone who had excitedly told a colleague to check out my work, only to find out they were trying to sell traffic congestion to Lagos state — the colleague was my younger brother. lol. You guys are doing the Lord’s work o— I’m honoured and grateful.

Thank you for all the wonderful messages on my birthday. I read them all. I’m thankful for every wonderful person I met, and everyone who in one way or the other made my time in Nigeria a delight. I’ll be in town again soon. Thank you and God bless you.
